ST. PAUL - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost 9-0 at St. Catherine at the Fred Wells Tennis Center on Saturday.

The Wildcats started strong by taking all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-3, 8-2 and 8-0.

In singles, Anna Hemmelman dropped her number one match 6-3, 6-3, while the other, and St. Kate's finished off the sweep by taking the other five matches in straight sets.

MLC fell to 0-2 on the season in defeat, while the Wildcats improved to 1-0 with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Saturday, February 16, when they play a triangular against Morningside and Northwestern (Iowa) at Owatonna Tennis Center. MLC will open the day with a match against Morningside at 4 p.m.
