VIRGINIA, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team fell at conference-leading St. Scholastica by the final of 8-1 at the Virginia Tennis and Pickleball Club on Saturday.

Anna Hemmelman registered the lone MLC points with a three-set win in number-one singles by the score of 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7).
CSS took all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-3, 8-2 and 8-0, and then completed the team win with five straight sets wins in singles play.
MLC fell to 3-11 overall and 1-4 in UMAC play in defeat. CSS improved to 12-5 on the season and 4-0 in league play with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, April 16, when they host North Central in a non-conference match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
