MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team finished off a pair of wins at Minnesota Morris on Tuesday. The Knights first finished off a 9-0 sweep in the UMAC match previously suspended on April 2 midway through due to poor weather. In a non-conference match that followed, MLC won 7-0, with two matches not finished due to darkness.

MLC held a commanding 3-0 lead from the opening match on April 2 from doubles play, and finished off the sweep with six singles wins (all in straight sets).

In the previously scheduled non-conference match that followed, the Knights once again swept doubles play by the scores of 8-5, 8-5 and 8-6.

In singles competition, Josh Koelpin and Jonah Schulz each won in straight sets, while Nicolas Gartner and Joshua Schroeder came back from early deficits to win in three sets.

MLC improved to 5-7 on the season and 2-2 in UMAC play following the two wins. UMM fell to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in league play with the two defeats. 

The Knights will return to action on Saturday, April 13, when they travel to St. Scholastica. That match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
