NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team dominated from start to finish in a 4-0 win over Mount Mary on Friday.
The Knights outshot the Blue Angels 43-1 for the game and recorded a pair of goals in each half on the way to the win.
Lydia Bitter and
Tabitha Vannieuwenhoven accounted for the two first-half tallies off assists from
Carissa Friebe and
Abby Enstad, while
Emily Witkowski and Bitter each scored once in the second half, with
Avery Broyles adding an assist on the final goal.
The goals from Witkowski and Bitter were their second of their season, while Vannieuwenhoven scored the first of her MLC career.
Broyles, Bitter and Witkowski each finished with seven total shots, with Bitter taking a team-best five shots on goal.
The defense was rarely challenged, but kept keeper

MLC improved to 2-1 on the season with the win, while Mount Mary dropped to 1-3 in defeat.
