WINONA, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team saw its two-game win sreak come to an end in a 3-0 loss at Saint Mary's (Minn.) on Saturday.
The Knights battled and nearly made it to the half in a scoreless tie, but SMU scored with only seven seconds remaining in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Cardinals added goals in the 62nd and 85th minutes to put the game to bed.

Mollie Fischer did her best to give the Knights a chance with 12 saves on 15 SMU shots on goal.
Lydia Bitter was the main source of offense for MLC with a pair of shots on goal.
MLC dropped to 2-2 on the season in defeat, while SMU improved to 4-0 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, September 18, when they host Bethany Lutheran in a non-conference game scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
