OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Martin Luther College volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-20) to Carroll University on the first day of the Pizza Hut Classic tournament at UW-Oshkosh on Friday.

The were strong on the attack and on the block, hitting .458 while blocking nine MLC attacks in the match.

MLC hit .012 on the attack with Kati Aguilar leading the team with eight kills. 

Kate Aswege led the team with 10 digs, while Jewel St. Germaine finished with a team-high 13 assists. Rhianna Hunter led the team with three blocks.

MLC fell to 0-6 on the season in defeat, while Carroll improved to 3-2 with the win.

The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, September 7) for day two of the tournament. MLC will open with a match against Lawrence at 11:30 a.m., followed by a match against UW-Oshkosh at 1:30 p.m.
