MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's basketball team lost its UMAC finale at Minnesota Morris 94-35 on Wednesday.
The Cougars were in control from the start and held the Knights in single digits in three of the four quarters.
Already leading 45-18 at the half, UMM scored 36 points in the third period to put the game to bed.Â
The Cougars shot 46.2 percent for the game and made eight of 16 attempts from beyond the three-point arc. MLC struggled on offense, shooting 24.6 percent and committing 30 turnovers.Â
The Knights fell to 3-21 overall and finished the UMAC season with a record of 3-13. UMM improved to 15-9 on the season and 10-5 in league play.
MLC will close the season on Saturday, February 22, when it travels to Maranatha Baptist for a game scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
