ST. PAUL - The Martin Luther College lost its non-conference match at Macalester 9-0 on Saturday at the Leonard Center.
The Knights dropped the first two doubles matches on the day 8-2 and 8-1. In number-three doubles, the team of
Marcus Sims and
Josiah Mittelstadt forced a tie-breaker, but ultimately fell 8-7 (9-7).
The Scots continued their strong play in singles, winning each of the six matches in straight sets.Â
MLC fell to 0-2 on the season in defeat. Macalester improved to 1-0 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, February 18, when they travel to Mount Mary for a match scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
