MANKATO, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team could not slow first-place Bethany Lutheran in a 12-1 loss on Tuesday.
The Vikings were in control from the jump, scoring 28 seconds into the game and adding three more goals in the first half.
The second half proved more of the same, as BLC added eight goals, while the Knights were able to counter with only one from
Josiah Wordell in the 74th minute.
Nine different BLC players scored, led by the UMAC's leading scorer Max Busch with three goals.
MLC fell to 2-9-0 on the season and 1-7-0 in UMAC play in defeat. BLC improved to 8-4-0 overall and 8-0-0 in league play with the win.
The Knights return to action on Friday, October 15, when they host UW-Superior in a game scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m.
