SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Martin Luther College men's basketball team struggled on the second night of UMAC play in an 85-46 loss at UW-Superior on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets dominated from the start as they opened the game on a 19-2 run and never looked back en route to the win.

UWS shot 47.7 percent from the field for the game, but made 11 three-point field goals (nine in the second half) and took advantage of MLC miscues on the other end.

The Knights could not get much going offensively, committing 28 turnovers while shooting 36.4 percent from the field. The Yellowjackets outscored MLC 35-9 in points off turnovers, 32-18 in the paint, and 32-4 in fast break points for the game.

Jack Heichelbech led MLC with nine points. 

The Knights dropped to 0-9 on the season and 0-2 in UMAC play in defeat. UWS improved to 3-6 overall and 1-1 in league play with the win.

MLC will return to action on Sunday, December 19, when it plays Finlandia at Wisconsin Dells.
