VIRGINIA, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team started conference play with an 8-1 loss at St. Scholastica on Saturday at the Virginia Tennis and Pickleball Club.
Tatum Bollmeier was responsible for the lone MLC point thanks to a three-set win in number three singles by the scores of 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (12-10).
CSS was able to win the remaining singles matches in straight sets, and also won the doubles matches.
The Knights fell to 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in UMAC play in defeat. CSS improved to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in league play with the win.
MLC will return to action on Tuesday, March 30, when it hosts Bethany Lutheran in a non-conference match starting at 2 p.m.
