NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost 9-0 to Minnesota Morris in conference play in Saturday's first home match of the season.

The Cougars took the momentum early with three points in doubles play, including wins by the scores of 8-4 and 8-4 in the numbers one and two matches.

In singles play, UMM finished the sweep with straight sets wins in each match. 

The Knights fell to 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in UMAC play in defeat. UMM improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in league play with the win.

MLC will return to action on Tuesday, April 13, when it hosts Bethany Lutheran in a non-conference match starting at 2 p.m.
