SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost its conference match at UW-Superior by the final score of 8-1 on Wednesday.

The Yellowjackets built a big lead early thanks to sweeping the three doubles matches 8-0, 8-6 and 8-1.

In singles play, Charis Glende won her number-five match 6-0 and 6-0, but that was the lone point the Knights could get as UWS took the other five singles matches in straight sets.

MLC fell to 0-5 on the season and 0-3 in league play in defeat. UWS improved to 5-5 overall and 3-0 in the UMAC with the win.

The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Thursday, April 22) when they host Crown College at 3 p.m.
