MANKATO, Minn. - The Martin Luther College baseball team was unable to keep pace with Bethany Lutheran College in a pair of losses by the scores of 20-2 and 23-3 on Tuesday.
The Vikings scored at least one run in 10 of their 12 times at bat on the day, and scored at least five runs five different times.
Jackson Lindemann (0-5) took the loss in game one, while Reagon Moore (0-3) started and took the loss in game two.
Caleb Heckendorf and
Michael Fromm drove in the runs in first game, while
Zachary Klement led off game two with a solo home run. Heckendorf and Lindemann accounted for the other two runs in that game.
Lindemann and Behm led the team with two hits apiece in the second game.
Mason Cox,
Tony Sahatjian and Heckendorf all had one hit in game one.
MLC dropped to 0-19 on the season and 0-14 in UMAC play following the two losses. BLC improved to 11-13 overall and 9-4 in league play with the sweep.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, May 8, when they host UW-Superior in the regular season finale. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
