RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team could not keep pace with the UW-River Falls (UWRF) Falcons in a 7-0 defeat on Thursday.
The Falcons opened the scoring in the 10th minute, and added a second goal just 1:44 later to take a 2-0 lead.Â
After scoring three more times in the first half, UWRFÂ scored second-half goals in the 57th and 82nd minutes, respectively, on the way to the win.
Madyson Shew, Alexis Peterson and Regan Schweitzer each scored two goals for the Falcons, who scored on five of their seven shots on goal in the first half.Â
Hannah Schroeder led the offensive attack for MLC with four shots, including three shots on goal.
Nicole Porter was credited with three shots (one shot on goal).
MLC fell to 0-4-0 on the season in defeat, while UWRF improved to 3-4-0 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, September 22, when they host Buena Vista University in a game scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
