SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team fell behind early and could not recover in an 8-0 loss at UW-Superior (UWS) on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets took control from the jump, as Blake Perry scored 31 seconds into the game, and UWS added first-half goals in the 24th, 35th and 40th minutes to take a 4-0 lead at the half.

UWS continued to control the game in the second half, scoring four more goals en route to the win.

Six different players scored on the day for the Yellowjackets, who were credited with 28 total shots (12 shots on goal). MLC was credited with five shots, led by Jake Vilhauer with two.

MLC fell to 1-5-0 on the season and 0-3-0 in UMAC play in defeat. UWS improved to 3-4-0 overall and 3-0-0 in league play with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, September 28, when they host Northwestern-St. Paul in a game scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
