The Knights came out one and one over their last weekend at home for the season losing to University of Minnesota-Morris (15-25, 19-25, 19-25) and defeating the Crown College Storm in three sets (25-14, 25-21, 25-9).

The Knights fought hard to start the match, however, they lost momentum in the first set after two kills by the Cougars and a hitting error by the Knights. The Knights lost the first match 15-25.

The Knights went on and fought harder but could not finish a set in their favor. With a total of six instances of tying up the match, the Cougars and the Knights battled throughout the match. MLC struggled to get anything to fall for them throughout the match as they hit .048 compared to .367 for the Cougars.

On Saturday, the Knights jumped on Crown early and never relented. In their first set the Knights ended with an eleven point lead. After a kill by Abigail Winkel, the Storm could not recover.

The second set did not go as smoothly for the Knights, however. With a back-and-forth battle and four different times the game was tied, the Knights still came on top with a win of 25-21. The Knights closed the match with fourteen kills and held Crown to only nine points.

Grace Kieselhorst led the Knights with eight kills, eleven digs for Naomi Bridgemen, and fifteen assists for Kylie Wolf.

Over the weekend, senior Kylie Wolf marked her 1,000 assist. Kylie had 990 set assists going into the match and had 15 in the Crown match to put her at 1005 for her career. For her career, she had 229 assists in 2020, 400 assists in 2021, and 376 so far in 2022. The Knights congratulate Kylie for all of her hard work and dedication throughout her 1,000 assists as a Knight!
