MINNEAPOLIS - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost its non-conference match against St. Catherine 9-0 on Friday night at Baseline Tennis Center.

The Wildcats opened the match with a strong doubles performance, winning those three contests by the scored of 8-0, 8-0 and 8-2.

In singles play, St. Catherine took all six matches in straight sets to secure the sweep. 

In an extra match that did not count on the official score, Katie Kutz won 8-6.

MLC fell to 0-3 on the season in defeat. St. Catherine improved to 1-0 with the win in its first match.

The Knights will take a breather from matches over the next month, with their next scheduled match coming against Doane on Saturday, March 19.
