CRETE, Neb. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team returned to action after a month off with a 7-0 defeat at Doane University on Saturday.

The teams opened play in doubles competition, with the Tigers winning 6-0, 6-1 and 6-3 to take a 3-0 lead in the match.

In singles, Doane finished off the sweep with four wins in straight sets to secure the win.

MLC fell to 0-4 in defeat. Doane improved to 4-4 with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, March 23, when they play UW-Stout in a match at Owatonna Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
