New Ulm, MN - MLC women's tennis picked up its third UMAC win of the season in a
5-2 home victory over Minnesota Morris on Friday afternoon.
The Knights cruised to a sweep in doubles play with a 6-0 win in No. 1 Doubles (
Britney Prahl/Emily Gronholz) and another decisive 6-1 win in No. 2 Doubles from
Karly Miller and
Rebekah Schroeder.Â
In singles play, Prahl recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win in No. 1 Singles, and Schroeder earned a win in No. 4 Singles 6-2, 6-4.
Mathilde Bodenbender-Benner had no problem winning in No. 5 Singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
Allie Hinz won by forfeit in No. 6 singles for the fifth point of the match.
MLC plays one final contest against Northwestern on Saturday, April 25. The match has been moved to Owatonna, MN, starting at 10 a.m.
