SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team opened UMAC play with a 9-0 loss at UW-Superior (UWS) on Saturday.
The match started in doubles competition, with the Yellowjackets taking all three games by the scores of 8-0, 8-1 and 8-3.
In singles, the Yellowjackets finished off the sweep with straight sets wins in all six matches.
The Knights fell to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in UMAC play in defeat. UWS improved to 6-4 overall and 1-0 in league play with the win.
MLC will return to action on Thursday, March 31, when it travels to Cornell for a match scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
