NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College baseball team lost its rescheduled game against Crown College from earlier this season by the score of 15-3 on Tuesday.

The Storm jumped on the board with a run in the first inning, and then added five more over the next two frames against MLC starting pitcher Zach Klement (0-2).

The Knights scored twice in the fourth thanks to RBI from Jackson Lindemann and Caleb Heckendorf, and then added another run thanks to an error in the fifth inning, but the Storm put the game away with five runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh off MLC relievers.

Mason Cox finished the day 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Jonas Lindemann also went 2-3 with a run scored in the game.

Klement pitched the first five innings for the Knights in defeat, allowing eight runs on 12 hits while striking out five. 

The Knights fell to 2-19 on the season and 2-9 in UMAC play in defeat. Crown improved to 15-9 overall and 8-2 in league play with the win.

MLC will return to action on Friday, April 22, when it hosts UW-Superior for a game scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
