MANKATO, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team lost its match at Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) 9-0 on Tuesday.
The Vikings jumped to an early 3-0 overall lead with a sweep in doubles by the scores of 8-2, 8-5 and 8-6.
In singles, BLC finished off the win by taking all six matches. Number-four player
Josiah Wordell won his opening set 7-6, but lost the second set and the third-set tiebreaker.
MLC dropped to 0-8 on the season and 0-4 in UMAC play in defeat. BLC improved to 5-5 overall and 2-3 in league play in defeat.Â
The Knights will return to action on Thursday, April 21, when they travel to Minnesota Morris for a match scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
