The Martin Luther College Knights lost on the road to the Alma College Scots (MI) 69-0 in a Saturday matchup. Alma dominated from the start, taking advantage of big plays and the Knights' mistakes to jump to a 28-0 first-quarter lead. The Knights were down 48-0 by halftime. In the game, the Knights managed only 141 yards of total offense, stymied by two lost fumbles, two interceptions, negative yardage plays, and the loss of their offensive threat

Paul Huebner commented that he was proud of the way the Knights continued to battle until the final whistle despite the score. He said that he "is looking forward to this week of practice as the Knights prepare for their first conference game against the UMAC preseason favorite Greenville."
Rees Roecker led the Knights with 53 yards rushing.
Max Nordlie had 90 yards passing and
Mason Cox would up with 47 yards receiving on three catches.
Despite the score, the Knights' defense managed five tackles for losses.
