WINONA, MN - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team started the season with a 9-0 loss at Saint Mary's University (SMU) on Saturday.
In doubles play, the Cardinals opened the match with three wins by the scores of 8-3, 8-0 and 8-6.
The Knights were unable to win a match in Singles play, with the closest result coming from
Josiah Wordell, where the junior lost 5-7, 6-7Â (4-7).
MLC fell to 0-1 on the season with the loss. SMU goes to 1-0 on the season with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, February 10Â when they travel to Sioux City, Iowa to take on Morningside at 2:00 p.m.
