Sioux City, Iowa - The MLC men's tennis team lost 7-0 to the Morningside Mustangs on Friday evening.

    In singles competition, the Mustangs took all six matches in straight sets to score the 9-0 overall sweep. Although the Knights were swept in their singles matches, Josiah Wordell and Matthew Koelpin picked up a game in their first set, with both players would falling 1-6, 0-6. Brian Friesenegger finished both of his sets 2-6, 2-6, and gave a solid fight in his number-six match.

    The Mustangs would defeat MLC in doubles play 6-0, 6-2, 6-2.

    The Knights (0-2) will return to action on Tuesday, March 21, when they head to Crown for their first UMAC match of the season which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
