MLC Shutout by UW-Superior

Superior, WI - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team fell to UW-Superior 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in a game where they were unable to get a shot off against the Yellowjackets defense.

UW-Superior started their damage off fairly early with consecutive goals in the 14th minute from Nya Wilson and Tori Vosburg. Wilson would find the back of the net once more to push her team out to a 3-0 lead in the 20th minute.

From that point on, MLC had little success moving the ball towards the UW-Superior goal, but improved defensively for the majority of the first and second periods.

Despite giving up four goals, Rebekah Schroeder recorded eight saves at goalkeeper for MLC and the Knights can look to build off the adjustments made on defense.

The Knights now fall to (2-7-1,1-4-1) for the season and will travel to North Central for a 7 p.m. game on October 3.
