Superior, WI - The MLC volleyball squad fell in four sets (3-1) to UW-Superior on the road on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets secured the victory with a 25-10 margin in the first set and followed that up with a 25-19 advantage in the second set to set the tone in the match. In those two sets, UW-Superior played almost mistake-free volleyball with just four errors.
MLC got a win in the set column in the third one after a strong showing of 17 kills, but it would be 11 MLC errors in the fourth set that would eventually lead to the UW-Superior win.
Grace Kieselhorst led the Knights with 18 kills, while
Ella Walz got back on the court with her 26 assists that served as a match-high for either team.
MLC goes to 6-15 overall, 3-5 UMAC, and up next for the Knights is a home contest against Bethany Lutheran College on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the LSC.
