Eagles Come out on Top Over Knights

New Ulm, MN - The Martin Luther College women's soccer dropped their UMAC game against Northwestern 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles' offense was firing from the get-go and recorded 41 shots (22 on target) as Alix Krueger lead her squad with two goals scored in the 14th and 43rd minute of game time. Northwestern also gained an advantage on high percentage looks, as they had 10 corner kicks compared to one corner for MLC.

Lilianne Zimpelmann and Sydney Buch had the two shots on goal for the Knights and freshman goalkeeper, Maria Vik, had 17 saves.

Despite the loss, MLC (3-6-1) will have another crack at it on Saturday, October 5, when they host UW-Superior at 2 p.m.
