St. Paul, MN - Andrew Esmay garnered more recognition from D3Sports.com by being named Second Team All-Region on Wednesday. MLC is in Region 6 of Division III and players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at their various schools.

Esmay wrapped up his junior season by winning the UMAC Defensive Player of the Year after leading all of Division III in sacks (16.5), forced fumbles (8), and fumble recoveries (5) in 10 games played for the Knights. The defensive end also recorded 37 tackles and 19.5 tackles for loss as MLC went 6-4 overall this past season.
