Superior, WI - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team dropped its Sunday afternoon match against UW-Superior
9-0. The Knights played the Yellowjackets hard in doubles play and came within a couple of points in No. 3 doubles, as
Katie Kutz and
Rebekah Schroeder fell 6-8.
UW-Superior made it difficult for MLC in singles play and won decisively in the No. 1, 2, 4 and 6 matches. However,
Abigail Schewe made it a match (3-6, 2-6) at No. 3, while Kutz challenged in No. 6 singles (4-6, 3-6).
MLC (5-7, 3-1) will move on to their next match against Bethany Lutheran College on Wednesday, April 24. The match will be played on the MLC tennis courts at 3 p.m.
