St. Bonifacius, MN - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team went on the road at Crown College on Saturday, but could not overcome their 2-0 deficit at the break and fell
4-0 to the Polars.
Forward Emma Domka scored the hat trick (3 goals) against the Knights, scoring two of her goals in the first period. Domka's third score came in the 55th minute off of a penalty goal kick.
Crown outgained MLC 11-2 in shots on target, but
Katie Schoeneck led MLC with three shots and one on goal in 84 minutes of action on the field.Â
Maria Vik recorded seven saves at the goalkeeper position.
Despite the loss, the Knights gave it another hard effort and multiple reserves were able to get into the game.Â
Up next for MLC (3-5-1, 1-2) is a home contest versus Northwestern on Wednesday, October 2, at 2 p.m.
