Warriors Top Knights

New Ulm, MN - The Martin Luther College men's soccer squad wrapped up their weekend road trip to Wisconsin by playing Wisconsin Lutheran in Milwaukee. The Warriors got on the board fairly early in the first period and never looked back as they beat the Knights 3-0.

Wisconsin Lutheran put up 45 shots (18 shots on goal) in their win and scored all three goals within 10 minutes (18-28 min. mark). Tony Bedolla and Ben Meaux were the key contributors and either scored or assisted on every goal.

Nicholas Russ recorded 15 saves as the MLC goalie, playing the entirety of the game. Fellow freshman Louis Schultz got the Knights' lone shot on goal, as the Warriors' defense made it difficult to get much going offensively.

MLC (0-3-1) will return to the field for another road non-conference game in Wisconsin. This time it'll be up at Ripon College and the two teams will square off on Saturday, September 14, at 3:30 p.m.
