Waseca, MN - The MLC men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Finanger Invitational hosted by Luther College on Saturday morning. The Knights ran in the 4K (2.49 miles) with the men placing third out of six schools, while the women took fifth.
For the MLC women,
Jemimah Habben had an impressive result, coming in fourth overall with a mark of 15:23.1, surpassing 75 runners in the 4K.
Aubrey Bode cracked the top 30, finishing in 28th overall with a time of 16:59.8, whileÂ
Nicole Trapp (17:30.8) and
Carys Wendland (17:39.7) took 35th and 36th overall.
The MLC men were paced by
Eliott Heiderich (13:52.0), who took 29th overall out of 88 runners in the event. The Knights earned four other spots within the top 50 of indivdual performers, as
Levi Panitzke placed 42nd (14:11.2).
Henry Schapekahm (14:23.6),
Micah Vanderhoof (14:29.2),
Daniel Ertman (14:34.5) took 46th, 47th, and 49th respectively.
The MLC cross country teams continue their seasons with a meet at St. Olaf College next Saturday, October 18, at 10:30 a.m.
