Winthrop, MN - The MLC men's cross country took
fourth in the 2025 UMAC Championship, which was hosted by the Knights. MLC was the runner up in 2024 behind UW-Superior with a team score of 73. The Knights scored 87 on Saturday, as the Yellowjackets claimed another UMAC Championship with 16 points in the 8K (8000m race).
MLC's top individual finisher came via
Eliott Heiderich, who placed eight overall out of over 60 runners. Heiderich clocked in with a a PR mark of 28:00.8, while
Levi Panitzke finished 15th (28:51.0). The Knights had one more top-20 result by way of freshman
Henry Schapekahm who crossed the finish line 17th overall with a time of 29:05.0.
Elijah Hutchinson earned 23rd overall with a mark of 29:28.5, while
Dan Ertman snuck inside the top 25 at 24th overall with a time of 29:43.4.Â
