NEW ULM, Minn. - MLC men's cross-country has been picked to finish third in the UMAC, the conference announced Friday.
The Knights finished fourth last season.
Eliott Heiderich, Levi Schuetze and Daniel Ertman represent a strong trio of returners for the Knights. Heiderich finished eighth at last year's UMAC championship. Schuetze and Ertman finished 15th and 24th, respectively.
MLC also has numerous talented incoming runners, including Silas Ebeling, a transfer from Wisconsin Lutheran College where he competed for three years. His accolades include 2023 NACC Freshman of the Year.
Logan Korthals from Watertown, Wisconsin, and Thomas Moldenhauer from Milwaukee, enter the program as a freshmen. Both competed at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships last year. Korthals finished 36th in the Division 2 race for Luther Prep while Moldenhauer finished 66th in the D1 race for Wisconsin Lutheran.
Cross-country gets its season underway at UW-River Falls on Sept. 4.
