Superior, WI - The MLC volleyball team played a road UMAC match at UW-Superior on Saturday afternoon and fell to the Yellowjackets
3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-21).
UW-Superior had a clear advantage on the attack, out hitting MLC 42-20 in the kills department. The Yellowjackets recorded 15 kills in the first set and wrapped up the match with 16 in the final set.
Claude Colleen led the way for the Yellowjackets, dishing out 20 assists and also started off many volleys for her team with 16 digs. UW-Superior had two additional players reach double figures in digs.
On the MLC side,
Anna Kieselhorst paced the Knights in digs (13), while
Grace Powers picked up nine in the match. Freshman
Kiara Humann led MLC in kills (5) and tied for the most blocks (3) along with
Lydia Feidt.
MLC will be back in the gym next Friday, October 10, at 7 p.m. when they host North Central for Parents' Day.
