St. Paul, MN - For the second consecutive week, junior
Mya Morris was voted the UMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week (December 8-14).
Morris averaged 26.5 ppg in two games against Luther and Carleton this past week. She had a big night against Carleton and nailed eight 3-pointers in a 72-51 win over the Knights, which broke her own MLC record of made 3-pointers in a game. For the week, the guard shot an efficient 13-for-27 from beyond the arc (48 percent). Morris also continues to lead all players in the UMAC in scoring (20.5 ppg).
This is also the third occasion where an MLC player has brought in the weekly award, as
Lydia Feidt was named Player of the Week back in late November.
MLC and Morris will play one final game before Christmas Break on Wednesday, December 17, when they host Lakeland University at 7 p.m.
