Owatonna, MN - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team continued their season for their second match of the season in a 7-point contest against Crown College on a neutral court in Owatonna on Friday. The Knights fought hard in each match, challenging the Polars as best they could before falling to the Polars 4-3.

Crown took the three doubles matches to give them one point, but the Knights battled back in singles play to take three points. Those three came via No. 3 Eli Stern, No. 4 Isaiah Scharf, and No. 6 Noah Koelpin. Stern won his match 6-3, 6-3, while Scharf took his match in a two-set tiebreaker downing his counterpart 6-2, 7-6 (10-8). Meanwhile, Koelpin beat his opponent 6-2, 6-1.

MLC (0-2) will return to the same court for a 10:30 a.m. match against Ripon College on Saturday, February 15.
