Minneapolis, MN - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team took on St. Catherine Wildcats on Friday evening, but were unable to come out with a victory, falling
7-0.
St. Kate's won all three doubles matches and didn't need any tiebreakers as they defeated the Knights in straight sets in singles play.Â
Britney Prahl made it 3-6, 0-6 and was able to make her No. 1 singles match competitive for the most part in the first set.
Katie Schoeneck lost her No. 6 singles match 2-6, 3-6, while
Abigail Schewe dropped her No. 2 singles match 2-6, 2-6.
Despite the challenging opponent, MLC (2-3) still put up a good fight and will try to earn their third win of the season on Tuesday, March 11, at 9 a.m. when they play Hastings College (NE) at the same location as tonight's match.
