Minneapolis, MN—On Tuesday, the Martin Luther College women's tennis team played a morning match on a neutral indoor court against NAIA school Hastings College (Nebraska). The Knights took one match in singles play before the Broncos defeated them 6-1 in the 7-point game.

Hastings took the doubles point after beating the Knight two out of the best-of-three series, but MLC did receive a 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles when Britney Prahl and Abigail Schewe bested Hastings. MLC also played hard in singles play as Rachel Schoeneck defeated her No. 4 opponent in straight sets 6-3, 6-0. 

Josephine Bieberitz fell 3-6, 3-6 but in No. 3 singles, while Katie Schoeneck almost gave MLC another point before losing in the tiebreaker 6-7 (9-11), 2-6.

MLC (2-4) plays Wartburg on Wednesday, April 2, at 3:30 p.m.
