Appleton, WI - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team resumed action on Saturday morning at Lawrence University and gave it a good effort before losing to the Vikings
7-0.
Lawrence earned one point from a sweep in doubles play and then won all six singles matches in straight sets over the Knights.
Matthew Koelpin challenged his No. 2 singles opponent but came up short 4-6, 3-6, while
Eli Stern played his No. 3 counterpart hard in a 3-6, 3-6 loss.
No. 6 singles was the other singles match where MLC finished with a competitive result as
Aidan Mattek fell 3-6, 4-6.
MLC (0-4) has a neutral site match in Minneapolis against NAIA school Hastings College from Nebraska. The Knights will take them on for a first-serve time of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11.
