St. Paul, MN - The UMAC men's basketball All-Conference teams were officially announced on Tuesday and MLC had two players earn recognition for the postseason awards.
Adam Loberger was voted Rookie of the Year and UMAC Honorable Mention after the freshman had a standout debut season with MLC. Loberger finished second in the conference in points per game (20.3), just behind Bethany's senior guard Drew Sagedahl (20.9). Additionally, the forward led MLC in made 3-pointers (62) and made free throws (108) and was second on the team in rebounds per game (5.9) and total assists (48).
Fellow freshman,
Benjamin Pearson, was named to the Defensive All-UMAC team and grabbed 188 rebounds which was third in the UMAC and first on the Knights, and did it from the point guard position. Pearson paced MLC in total assists (67), while finishing second on the squad in points per game (12.4) and made 3-pointers (49).
Senior
Seth Veers was the MLC representative for the All-Sportsmanship Team after four years of veteran leadership for the MLC men's basketball program.
