MLC Student-Athletes Excel in the Classroom

St. Paul, MN - In a year where the UMAC set a new record for the most individual academic all-conference honorees (772 student-athletes) for the 2024-25 winter and spring sports cycle, MLC was right up there once again with 109 individual honorees named to the list, coming in third behind UW-Superior (152 student-athletes) and Northwestern (114 student-athletes). 

"Individuals who earn a 3.5 or better grade point average (GPA) or better during their respective semesters of competition are recognized with the prestigious individual honor, while the team with the top GPA in each sport is also recognized."

The Knights finished with the most team award victories in the UMAC for the entire 2024-25 academic year, with nine sport winners out of 18 possible sports.

Women's Soccer: 3.71 GPA
Men's Cross Country: 3.59 GPA
Men's Soccer: 3.49 GPA
Football: 3.36 GPA

Winter & Spring
Men's Basketball: 3.50 GPA
Men's Indoor Track & Field: 3.45 GPA
Women's Indoor Track & Field: 3.66 GPA
Women's Tennis: 3.89 GPA
Men's Outdoor Track & Field: 3.43 GPA

The MLC women's outdoor track & field (17 student-athletes) and women's tennis (11 student-athletes) teams were the two Knights' squads with the most student-athletes in the conference for their respective sports.
