St. Paul, MN - The MLC men's and women's tennis teams took on Hamline University in road matches up in St. Paul and each squad fell 7-0 to the Pipers.
The women did manage to come back in No. 3 doubles to beat Hamline in that one with
Katie Kutz and
Rebekah Schroeder downing their opposition 7-5. However, the Pipers too the best-of-three for two points total in the match. Hamline then controlled the six singles matches as they made it hard for the Knights to gain traction in them.
Rachel Schoeneck (3-6, 1-6) and
Katie Schoeneck (3-6, 0-6)Â had the closest results for MLC.
On the men's side, the Pipers swept the Knights in all three doubles games, while
Johannes Bourman gave a good go at it in No. 1 singles before falling 3-6, 0-6.
Abraham Schlomer also challenged his opponent in No. 6 singles in a 3-6, 2-6 loss.
MLC tennis will be right back on the court on Saturday against UW-Superior. The Knights will be on their home courts starting at 3 p.m.
