St. Paul, MN - The MLC men's tennis team concluded its conference season on Saturday at Northwestern. The Knights went up against a tough opponent in the Eagles and fell in straight sets to them
7-0.
Northwestern won decisively in doubles competition and earned its other six points in singles.
Eli Stern gave his No. 2 singles adversary a more challenging game, but Stern would be defeated 2-6, 4-6. Meanwhile, the other singles game that ended in a competitive manner was in No. 4 singles, where
Noah Koelpin fell 0-6, 4-6.
Despite the loss, MLC finishes third in the UMAC standings with a 2-2 conference record. MLC will still have one final match scheduled for Monday, April 28, when they host nonconference opponent, Buena Vista, at 3 p.m.
