St. Paul, MN - Andrew Esmay was voted the UMAC Football Defensive Player of the Week (September 8-September 14) for his performance in MLC's 34-0 win over Luther College in the home opener on Saturday.

Esmay picked up where he left off last season and made a big impact off the edge, recording six tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

MLC plays at UW-Eau Claire for week three of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 20.
