Roseville, MN - The MLC men's soccer team played on the road at Northwestern on Saturday afternoon up in the Twin Cities. Northwestern controlled the action from the moment the ball was kicked and defeated the Knights
9-0.
Five different Northwestern players scored a goal as forward Jay'ce Jones went for a hat trick (3 goals), while fellow forward Jared Mojardin pitched in two goals for the Eagles.
Northwestern out shot the Knights 32-6 in total shots and 21-1 in shots on net. The Eagles also had eight corner kicks to give them extra opportunities.
Stephen Wietzke and
Johannes Bourman got off two shots apiece for MLC with Bourman recording the lone shot on goal from the Knights.
Next up for MLC is a home contest on Friday, October 3, against UW-Superior at 2 p.m.
