ST. PAUL, Minn. - Freshman
Logan Korthals and coach
Mark Weinkauf headlined the 2026 UMAC men's cross country all-conference teams as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Korthals, the 2026 individual UMAC champion, was unsurprisingly named Rookie of the Year to go along with his individual title. Korthals won the race with a time of 25:47.9, which is the third-fastest time at the championships since at least 2005. It is also the second-fastest time in MLC history.
Weinkauf was named coach of the year for the first time in his seven years at the helm of the program after guiding the Knights to their first title since 2008. He has now coached 17 athletes to a total of 26 all-conference honors.
MLC's entire counting lineup finished in all-conference places. In addition to Korthals, senior
Silas Ebeling and junior
Eliott Heiderich were named to the first team. Ebeling finished fifth and Heiderich was sixth overall. Freshmen
Thomas Moldenhauer and
Andrew Holz were both named to the second team. Moldenhauer finished in ninth, one spot away from first-team recognition, while Holz finished 13th. All five counting runners ran personal-best times.
Senior
Micah Vanderhoof was MLC's sportsmanship honoree.
