Superior, WI - The MLC women's Indoor Track and Field team placed second at the UMAC Championships this past weekend. The Knights totaled 147 points which was only behind Crown College, which scored 194 points.
MLC had three first-place finishes to help anchor their way up near the top of the conference.
Jemimah Habben picked up a pair of top spots beating out all runners in the 3000 (10:46.52) and 5000-meter (19:34.87) runs. Habben also claimed second in the 1-mile (5:22.22).
Madelinn Romsdahl took first in the shot put with a PR of 11.55 meters, while
Elise Nolte placed second in weight throw (13.67 meters).
Hannah Rodmyre came in second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.28 meters, and Rodmyre was also a part of the MLC 4x400m relay squad who placed second with a time of 4:18.06.
Elise Schwartz, Sarah Felsing, and Mariah Schultz were the other three runners in the event for the Knights.
MLC will start its Outdoor season on Saturday, March 28, at Saint John's.
